Es gibt viele gute Gründe, warum wir auf #Mastodon sind und warum es wichtig ist, dass immer mehr Menschen diese Alternative zu den Monopol-Netzwerken nutzen. Die Faschisierung der Techmonopole von #Musk und #Zuckerberg ist natürlich ein Grund - aber die Nutzung des Fediverse hat auch viele eigene Vorteile!

I don't know how to break this down any more clearly: the usual, quasi-antagonistic relationship between #socialmedia companies and govt. -in which the former would demand at least a valid subpoena before giving user info to the latter- is over.

#Musk and #Zuckerberg will probably start giving the #Trump admin direct access to activists' private data, if they haven't already, and there is nothing legal or technical that can stop them.

Get off those platforms NOW.

Blijkbaar is de kritiek op deze inmiddels geperverteerde Amerikaanse big tech. bedrijven terecht. Ethiek, informatica en groot geld verdienen gaan niet zomaar hand in hand zoals we zien. Het ultieme neoliberale kapitalistische model uitgespeeld, en het gaat over lijken.
