Newspaper headlines in the UK on Wednesday were dominated by reports of a massacre committed by Hamas fighters at a kibbutz in southern Israel in which the attackers were widely alleged to have beheaded babies.
But the reports – which a number of newspapers themselves acknowledged were unverified and which have been disputed and denounced by other journalists – have led to complaints that the publications could have been reporting “fake news”, “acting as a proxy for Israeli propaganda” and stoking Islamophobia.
Concerns about the accuracy of details in the stories were raised by Francesca Albanese, the United Nations’ special rapporteur for the occupied Palestinian territories, who called for journalists to show caution in their reporting.
“Divulging unverified information risks to escalate tensions & endanger lives in a volative [volatile] context,” Albanese wrote on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter.
It took almost months for the western media to retract the lies they spread, no apologies were made. They just moved on to broadcast new lies and cover up new atrocities.

The hypocrisy and pro Israeli bias of the media is making me sick.
People on the ground said it was an Israeli Iron Dome missile, Israeli medica saying it was an Israeli iron dome missile, but Netanyahu and his fascist gang blaming it on Hezbollah and calling the Syrian citizens living under Israeli occupation for Israeli citizens, so does the freaking media.
And of course IDF is using it to murder innocent people in Lebanon and justify their plans to escalate bombing campaign against Lebanon.
Because there is no way Israel dares entering Lebanon like they did in 82 and with the massive propaganda campaign going on right now the whole freaking #NATO and their Arab puppets will stand by the genocidal regime of Israel to defend their right to "retaliate" against "Iran backed" Hezbollah of Lebanon "killing innocent Israeli civilians".
