I got a free DVD/VHS player the other day! My work was getting rid of a bunch of old electronics and they let me take this home.
I didn't have a VHS player before, and I think it would be a lot of fun to track down some old sci-fi movies on VHS — maybe Goodwill or a garage sale.
Also I had previously been copying DVDs to our Jellyfin server (which is nice) or using a USB DVD drive in the Raspberry Pi we use as a streaming box, but this is quicker and more convenient.

Bring deinen kaputten Gegenstand aus dem Bereich Elektro/Elektronik mit. Alles, was nicht mehr funktioniert, kaputt oder beschädigt ist, kann mitgebracht werden – die einzige Voraussetzung ist, dass du den Gegenstand selber tragen kannst! Unsere erfahrenen Reparatur-Expert*innen stehen bereit, um mit dir gemeinsam eine Lösung zu finden. 
Die Hilfe bei den Reparaturen ist kostenlos. Ersatzteile (falls vor Ort vorhanden) sind bar zu bezahlen. Über eine kleine Spende freuen sich die Freiwilligen natürlich sehr. 
Gemeinsam setzen wir ein Zeichen gegen die Wegwerfgesellschaft und für Nachhaltigkeit. 
Wir freuen uns auf dich!

Wow, that title is a mouthful! Still, if you watched the show as a kid this should be a nice nostalgic time. Toyed with settings today to hopefully up the stream quality so it looks even nicer too!

Es gibt in B einen #VHS Kurs - Sensibilisierungsschulung im kommunikativen Umgang mit Gehörlosen - den ich sehr empfehlen kann. Einführung in #Gebärdensprache, #Fingeralphabet und auch in die Geschichte + Kultur der Gehörlosen sind u.a. die Kursinhalte.
Angeleitet wird der Kurs von Julia Zeiß (T), Integrationsberaterin im Berliner Integrationsfachdienst für Menschen mit Hörbehinderung. Derzeit laufender VHS Kurs in B-Tegel. Nächster Kurs im Feb '25 in B-Pankow.
