Switching to Brave?
“
[...] trust comes in large part from reputation, which is one place Brave fails.
"Many of those in the privacy community have an issue with [...] Brave Software. The most popular one is the Binance affiliate link scandal, where Brave was ‘caught’ injecting its own affiliate link when a user would type binance into the address bar," Ashley Simmons, founder of avoidthehack, told Lifewire via email.

Nazis once took over, because people were willing to compromise.
Today, people, even ordinary people, are willing to compromise.
Brave Browser, for example, was founded and currently managed by a Nazi. But people say, "that's different". No, it is not.
When you selectively pick and choose products and services founded, promoted, and sponsored by Nazis, you give them clout, you give them credibility, and you even give them money, power, and influence.
By compromising, you become compromised.

For anyone having issues with Autofill within @brave with third-party password managers on @GrapheneOS (or any other Android OS) try:

It really helped me out
TIL the Brave browser is a literal crypto scam. They claim to compensate website owners and content creators with their BAT token, but if you don't or can't claim the rewards within 90 days they pocket the tokens themselves. Apparently it's extremely difficult to signup and claim your BAT tokens...

YOU! Yes, you there, with the face and the browser!
Are you curious about using #macOS #Shortcuts for automating #GoogleChrome, #MicrosoftEdge, #Vivaldi, #Chromium, #BraveBrowser, and #Safari? Of course you are, because you're a sharp one (and looking sharp, by the way)!
In any case, check out Browser Actions (beta)! I just published a new version.

And maybe/please boost this post, I'd really appreciate it!
@allanon Yeah, I'm too, giving Brave a try. My old mom gets scammed, so I'm trying to shield her somewhat from the threats of the Internet. So far, the Brave browser appears to be the only one available cross-platform with content blocking. It seems, I can now provide her with a browser on her iPad, her phone and her desktop computer, that filters out the worst ads, cookie-annoyances, chatbots etc. Really helpful.

I just installed Brave Browser Beta on my Linux laptop, and I found 2 new cool features.
1. Website icons now show up in the search bar.
2. New tab page now has a small search bar, this supports switching between multiple search engines.

Potential upcoming Brave Pro Subscription
Hey @brave, would you like to inform us what Brave Pro actually is and what is going on with it? It pretty concerns me, and other people since it seems like the browser itself is getting a subscription model which I think almost no one will like nor support.
So I would really appreciate clarification in this.

Sidenote: I'm unable to access the Google Docs, since an Acc is required, but you will probably not be able to access them anyway without permission.
PSA to everyone to not use brave browser @brave@mastodon.social, the CEO of Brave Software is bigoted (donated to anti-lgbtqia+ organizations trying to ban gay marriage in the past and still has never addressed it or apologized) and was also against the Covid Lockdowns and is anti-vax. Using brave browser contributes to oppression of LGBTQIA+ ppl and contributes to brave software financially through ads and other means.
I recommend anyone still using brave browser to switch to ungoogled-chromium as a non-bigoted degoogled chromium-based browser alternative. @floccus@fosstodon.org is a good browser extension to use on ungoogled-chromium to sync your bookmarks.
