While the interface is lightning fast, I have spotted two potential deal breakers: failure to pass through surround sound and support for commercial streaming apps. Obviously clients for the self-hosted streaming servers like Plex and Jellyfin are working great, but apps for services like <a href="https://mstdn.dk/tags/Netflix" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Netflix</a> and <a href="https://mstdn.dk/tags/PrimeVideo" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#PrimeVideo</a> are sabotaged by either mysteriously crashing when playing media or only being available in outdated versions with super low resolution video. Weird really, as they're both available in a browser, which to my knowledge is a bigger security (piracy) issue than making them available on AndroidTV. So if you want commercial streaming on your TV, it looks like you're stuck on the devices that media giants have explicitly signed off on, like the outdated NVIDIA Shield.
