Maggie Maybe<p>I have questions about the law that Hunter Biden got in trouble for violating.</p><p>If he had been not been a user of illegal substances or addicted to drugs he bought that gun he would’ve been fine.</p><p>So hypothetically, what if one was in recovery at the time? How long does the law say you have to be in recovery for before you are allowed to buy a gun? </p><p>I mean I was addicted to cocaine from 1993 to 1995. So could I buy a gun in 1996? Would that prohibit me from buying a gun today in 2024? </p><p>Where is the legal line on that? And if I’m sober for a couple months and then I buy a gun and then I relapse next week do I have to return it? </p><p>I was going to not renew my cannabis card, buy a firearm, then wait a while and renew it later. I don’t think the law prohibits that, there must be some kind of a timeline though.
